Mansory is one of the tuners that often show love and affection to the G-Class with their wild conversions including a two-door coupe and other high-powered derivatives. However, its latest limited-production build doesn’t compromise the model’s signature off-road credentials as it is based on the rugged Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4².
The SUV retains its high-riding stance thanks to the 4×4²-specific modifications that include portal axles, but it rides on a new set of 22-inch FD.15 rims shod in 325/55R22 off-road tires. A comprehensive body kit includes plenty of carbon fiber aero components, including wide fenders, new door panels, redesigned bumpers with additional intakes, a vented hood, a large wing, and a Mansory-branded spare wheel cover.

The extra metal bumper sticking out of the back protects the G-Wagen from scratching its precious bodywork while off-roading, and the additional roof-mounted LEDs will light up the dark. The pictured example doesn’t get the Rolls-Royce-style suicide-door option, although we are sure that interested parties can add it to the modification list. Furthermore, the G-Class can also be armored by request.
Similar to other Mansory builds, the interior has been reupholstered with high-quality leather combining white and blue shades. Different colors, quilting styles, and carbon fiber accents are available according to each customer’s preferences. Mansory branding can be found in numerous places around the cabin, which has four individual seats and a configurable center console. For an aircraft-like experience, the start/stop button for the engine has been relocated on the headliner which is illuminated by “several hundred LEDs” for a starry sky effect.
While the chassis setup remains unchanged, the tuner did its magic on AMG’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, taking it to 838 hp (625 kW / 850 PS) and 1,000 Nm (737.6 lb-ft) of torque. This represents a healthy increase compared to the stock model’s 577 hp (430 kW / 585 PS) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). According to the tuner, the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint is completed in 4.5 seconds, while top speed is limited to 210 km/h (130 mph) for obvious reasons.
The Mansory Gronos 4×4 will be produced in a limited number of 10 units, so it will be a rare sight. The company didn’t announce pricing but such conversions usually target clients with deep pockets.
