Rennsport Reunion 7 is officially underway and Hot Wheels is celebrating by unveiling a one-off Porsche 944 known as the “Dirtmeister.”

Made in collaboration with Porsche and Mobil 1, the Dirtmeister is based on a 1987 944 coupe that has been transformed into a rally-inspired shooting brake. As part of the transformation, Kudensport gave the car a unique rear end with a long sloping roof and thick rear pillars.

The resulting design leaves a lot to be desired, but the model also sports a brush guard, auxiliary lights, and bronze wheels wrapped in meaty tires. Speaking of the latter, the model rides on a revamped suspension that has coilover shocks and Eibach springs.

The changes continue inside as the car has Recaro seats, a Sparco steering wheel, and a custom roll cage from Jimco Racing. They’re joined by a PCI race radio and a Garmin Baja Tread XL navigation system.

The companies didn’t talk performance specs, but the 1987 Porsche 944 reportedly came with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS). It appears to be connected to a five-speed manual, judging by the photos.

Putting the powertrain aside, the Dirtmeister has been “inducted into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends and commemorated as a 1:64 Hot Wheels die-cast car.” The latter will be offered on a made-to-order basis and fans can register their interest at MattelCreations.com.

Mattel Vice President and Global Head of Vehicle Design, Ted Wu, said “We couldn’t be more excited to add the Dirtmeister 944 to the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends and we had a ton of fun designing this purpose-built 944. With Porsche being as culturally relevant as ever and off-road builds being very on-trend, this is the perfect addition to our fleet of life-sized vehicles.”
