In response to the growing demand for premium three-row crossovers, Lexus has added the 2024 TX to its lineup. We have now learned that those consumers will have to shell out $55,050 (all prices include $1,350 destination charge) to get one. That’s nearly $11,000 more than the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander ($44, 465), upon which it is based

For that, buyers will get the front-wheel-drive TX 350, which is powered by a 275 hp (205 kW/279 PS) 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine (vs. the Grand Highlander’s 265 hp from the same powertrain). The all-wheel-drive system adds another $1,600 to the price of the model, bringing the total up to $56,650.

Customers looking for a little more comfort can opt for the TX 350 Premium. It starts at $58,450 ($60,050 for the AWD model) and adds a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a power-folding third row of seats.

The TX 350 Luxury starts at $60,950 ($62,550 for the AWD model) and gives customers even more in the form of semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats, heated second-row seats, and thematic ambient lighting.

For buyers who want a little more power out of their three-row crossover, there is the TX 500H F Sport Performance Premium. It starts with the same 2.4-liter engine, but adds hybrid technology and standard AWD, to offer customers a total of 366 hp (273 kW/371 PS).

In addition to being more powerful, the hybrid drivetrain is also much more fuel efficient than the standard, non-hybrid model. Whereas the TX 350 returns an estimated 23 MPG combined, Lexus predicts that drivers can expect 27 MPG from the TX 500H.

In addition to the power, customers will also benefit from an F Sport tuned adaptive suspension, and prices start $69,350. Alternatively, buyers can opt for the TX 500H F Sport Performance Luxury, which starts at $72,650 and adds perforated leather-trimmed seats, an F Sport heated steering wheel, and a Mark Levinson 21-speaker sound system.

Prices for the plug-in hybrid TX 500H+, which is expected to combine electric power with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, will be announced at a later date. It will make 406 hp (303 kW/412 PS) and will offer an all-electric range of up to 33 miles (53 km).

Intended as a more road-focused, three-row alternative to the distinctly off-roady GX and LX, in a series of new commercials, Lexus is advertising the TX as a vehicle with no bad seats, as you can see in the video below.
