A glorious 2021 McLaren Elva is expected to sell for between $1.8 million and $2.4 million when it will hit the auction block by RM Sotheby’s in November.

McLaren only ever built 149 examples of the Elva and this particular example is number 122. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this Elva. Mecum Auctions listed it for sale at last year’s Monterey Car Week and had expected it to sell for $2.75 million. However, it doesn’t appear as though it was sold.

Making this Elva special is that it is painted in Pacific Colour Stream, a complex iridescent color-shift paint that includes tones of Magenta, Violet, and Blue. The paint was a $37,898 option and has been perfectly complemented by a set of purple brake calipers that were a $4,950 option.

The cabin of the Elva is also special. In addition to the Pacific Colour Stream paint adorning the transmission tunnel, the cabin includes purple contrast stitching on the black leather seats. A purple 12 o’clock accent is also found on the steering wheel as are a host of gloss carbon fiber accents on the door panels, instrument cluster, and dashboard.

RM Sotheby’s notes that the Elva in question has been driven just 93 miles (149 km) from new and was delivered new to McLaren Charlotte in North Carolina. It includes the original window sticker and would be a fitting addition to even the most exclusive and comprehensive car collection.

Underpinning the Elva is a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque while power comes through a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged with 804 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. This grunt is fed to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
