The Mercedes-AMG One hypercar took a painfully long time to become a reality due to a series of development delays but customer deliveries have started and the car has been seen out on the road. Now, a company has taken the F1-powered hypercar, scaled it down to 1:8 size, and made a remote-controlled model of it.

The scale model has been brought to life by designer BrunoJJ1 and CaDA and is assembled from 3,295 interlocking building blocks that do a remarkable job of recreating the car’s bold exterior styling. For those who don’t know, CaDA is a massive Chinese toy manufacturer that builds blocks very similar to those of Lego Technic.

In the case of the Mercedes-AMG One 1:8 scale model, the attention to detail is so impressive that the model even includes the front air flaps on the quarter panels, the large aerodynamic shark fin, and the 10-spoke wheels with Michelin-branded tires. The model is 57 cm (22.4 inches) long, 24.5 cm (.9.6 inches) wide, and stands 16 cm (6.2 inches) tall. Making it all the more impressive is the fact that it has independent front and rear suspension, shock absorbers, working LED lights, and even an engine modeled after that of the real car.

Motorized Mercedes-AMG One Scale Model Could Be The Perfect Christmas Gift

As if the intricate assembly of the individual blocks wasn’t impressive enough, CaDA’s team has designed an electric powertrain for it with a two-speed transmission that allows the One model to be moved forwards, backward, and left to right through the supplied remote control. The doors can also be opened at the touch of a button. The large rear spoiler can also be controlled through the remote and the engine even has pistons that can move.

You may expect the model to cost a small fortune but that’s not actually the case as it can be purchased through the CaDA online store for just $275.
