Stellantis has unveiled its second-generation of electric and hydrogen commercial vehicles for brands Citroen, Fiat, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall

Rather than stretching it out over a period of weeks or months, Stellantis has decided to just reveal 12 new delivery vans today. The zero emissions vans are all based on the automaker’s second-generation electric or hydrogen fuel cell platform, and will be sold by Citroen, Fiat Professional, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall.
The new vehicles are a part of Stellantis’ Pro One offensive, which seeks to make its electric commercial vehicles the leaders in Europe. For this second-generation of zero-emissions vans, it is using in-house batteries for the electric vehicles that offer longer ranges.
Among the 12 vans, Stellantis will offer three sizes of all-electric vehicles Its smallest vans will deliver a claimed “best-in-class” range of up to 205 miles (330 km), it promises. The mid-size van can go up to 224 miles (350 km) per charge thanks to 50 or 65 kWh batteries, and its largest vans will offer up to 261 miles (420 km) of range thanks to a 110 kWh battery pack. The big van will also be offered with 150 kW charging, which will allow it to go from 0 to 80 percent charge in less than an hour.

Meanwhile, Stellantis is offering just two sizes of hydrogen-powered vans. The mid-size vehicles will come with a mid-power hydrogen fuel cell system that offers 249 miles (400 km) of range, while the large van will be able to go up to 311 miles (500 km) per fill up, which takes just five minutes.

Enhancements extend beyond the powertrains, with Stellantis also introducing updated cockpits, a new 10-inch infotainment screen, advanced Level 2 Autonomous driver assistance systems, over-the-air updates, and more.
Stellantis says it has worked hard to integrate technologies that will be useful to delivery companies into its vans. That includes new instrument clusters and displays, as well as surround view cameras for the drivers. For the delivery company, connected technologies keep dispatchers in contact with vehicles, and planning technology helps define the most efficient routes.
Meanwhile, a 400V e-Power Take Off (ePTO) system can help a whole range of commercial vehicles electrify. Since the system draws its power from the EV battery pack, fitting extra accessories onto the vehicle doesn’t require any special engineering.
“The essence of our customer-centric renewal of our entire van lineup is no compromise – in range, capability, safety and connectivity,” said Luca Marengo, Global Head of Product for the Stellantis Commercial Vehicles Business Unit.
The vans being updated today are Citroen Berlingo, Jumpy, Jumper; New FIAT Professional Doblò, Scudo, Ducato; New Opel/Vauxhall Combo, Vivaro, Movano. The new Peugeot Partner, Expert, Boxer are set to arrive by the end of 2023.
Stellantis adds that the all-electric Ram ProMaster EV will be sold in North America before the end of 2023, and will be joined by the Ram 1500 REV in late 2024. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will also come stateside in the near future.
