Skoda published a bunch of revealing sketches of the upcoming fourth-gen Superb in both Hatchback and Combi bodystyles, while announcing that its world premiere will take place on November 2.

We are already quite familiar with the silhouette of the 2024 Skoda Superb from earlier teasers, but the sketches reveal new details of the exterior design. The Superb remains instantly recognizable but looks sharper thanks to Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language. Among the highlights are the new slimmer LED Matrix beam headlights and the LED taillights which feature “crystalline” elements for a more premium look. The grille appears to be wider, as with the bumper intake which is highlighted by a chrome strip.

2024 Skoda Superb Combi

The new generation is longer, taller, and more aerodynamic compared to its predecessor, featuring a drag coefficient of 0.24 cd. The Hatchback measures 4,912 mm (193.4 inches) long, and the Combi stretches to 4,902 mm (193 inches), sharing the same 2,841 mm (111.9 inches) wheelbase.

Oliver Stefani, Head of Skoda Design, said: “The Superb has traditionally shaped Skoda’s design language and the fourth model generation will continue to do just that: its looks are characterized by sharply drawn lines, clearly defined and dynamic proportions, and a modern sculptural and crystalline styling.”

Skoda has already shown us the interior of the new Superb. The dashboard features a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10-inch Virtual Cockpit, a head-up display, and the new rotary push-button “Smart Dials” with integrated screens. The company claims that the headroom and the luggage compartment have “grown considerably” compared to the outgoing Superb. More specifically, the boot capacity is 645 lt (22.8 cubic feet) in the hatchback and 690 lt (24.4 cubic feet) in the Combi, with the 28 available Simply Clever features further improving practicality.

2024 Skoda Superb Shows Itself In Official Sketches Prior To November 2 Debut

The flagship of the automaker’s ICE-powered range is based on an evolved version of the MQB architecture and is closely related to the 2024 VW Passat Variant. The engine lineup is very similar to the 2024 Kodiaq SUV and includes diesel, petrol, mild-hybrid petrol, and plug-in hybrid powertrain options, although the latter is only available with the Combi bodystyle. All of the powertrains are exclusively mated to a DSG automatic gearbox sending power to either the front or all four wheels.

While we already know pretty much everything about the 2024 Skoda Superb, its official debut is scheduled for next week, so stay tuned.
