Twin-Engine Nissan 350Z With Two Honda K24s Is The Stuff Of SEMA Legends

Japan’s largest oil company, Eneos, has unveiled three eye-catching creations it will display at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week. In proper SEMA style, each of the three cars have been extensively modified and are a far cry from their former selves.

The custom Nissan 350Z to be displayed by ENEOS is arguably the craziest. It was purchased as a wreck by the current owner for just $800 and now has a twin-engine setup with a turbocharged Honda K24 under the hood and a second K24 sitting right in the middle. These engines have been extensively modified and are paired with two five-speed transmissions from EP3 Honda Civics.

The car, built and owned by Ashley Robinson, is being displayed outside SEMA’s Central Hall after being named the winner of the Eneos / Pit+Paddock SEMA Show Car Contest run over the past couple of months. In addition to rocking two Honda engines and two Honda transmissions, the car has adjustable air suspension, front Brembo brake calipers from a Hyundai Genesis Coupe, carbon fiber doors, and custom front and rear fenders. The 350Z also sits on 19×12-inch front and 19×14.5-inch rear Weds LXZ wheels with 305/30 front and 355/30 rear Kumho tires.

Some significant changes have been made to the K24s too. For example, both are operated by Hondata K-Pro ECUs and include new throttle bodies and valve covers, BMW electric water pumps, Nuke Performance surge tanks, and 2,200 cc injectors from Alpha Injection Clinic.

The second car is a special 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser pickup. This Land Cruiser’s chassis was purchased damaged by the owner of RPM Off-Road Garage and then fitted with the body of a 2009 model sourced from the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum in Utah. Powering the custom off-roader is a Toyota 1FZ-FE 4.5-liter inline-six. The owner has also fitted aftermarket front and rear differentials, a carbon fiber front driveshaft, a custom rear driveshaft, Ironman4x4 Foam Cell Pro shock absorbers, and a 6-inch lift kit. It is also sitting on 17-inch forged beadlock wheels with Toyo Open Country M/T tires.

Last but not least is a wild 1969 Jaguar E-Type. The E-Type is such a motoring icon that it’s unusual to see examples with grand modifications, save for a few all-electric conversion packages out there. This E-Type is very different as it has been built by professional drifter Faruk Kugay from DevSpeed Motorsports and is now powered by the Toyota Supra’s famed 2JZ-GTE engine.

Kugay already competes in a Nissan S14 with a 2JZ engine and in the case of his new E-Type, opted to equip it with a new factory head casting with Deatschwerks injectors, CP-Carillo pistons and rods, and a Nuke Performance fuel system. Mated to the turbocharged engine is the five-speed ZF manual transmission of an E36-generation BMW M3 and the rear differential of an E60 BMW 535i. The car delivers a cool 750 hp and stands out thanks to a selection of carbon fiber panels and 17-inch Rotiform STL wheels.
