Tesla has reduced prices for a range of new and used vehicles in its inventory , both in the United States and Canada. This move is likely a part of their regular strategy to boost sales and deliveries before the year’s end.

A look at the carmaker’s inventory reveals there are dozens of Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model Xs available with some generous discounts. The savings appear to be most significant on new, used, and demo Model 3s where some have had their prices cut by more than $3,700. The cuts have been made to Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range All-Wheel Drive, and Performance All-Wheel Drive variants.

While some would advise against purchasing an outgoing Model 3 given that the facelifted model will soon launch in North America, there appear to be plenty of people who prefer the looks of the older model and are willing to sacrifice some of the upgrades for a more familiar experience. Some of the Model 3s in Tesla’s inventory have yet to turn a wheel while others have been driven just a handful of miles or perhaps a few thousand miles.

A look at the Model Y also reveals similar discounts of around $3,000 for Rear-Wheel Drive, All-Wheel Drive, Lane Range All-Wheel Drive, and Performance All-Wheel Drive variants.

Tesla has also reduced prices for many Model S vehicles in its inventory, with some seeing reductions of over $5,000. However, these larger discounts appear to be limited to a few vehicles with mileage ranging from 8,000 to 13,000 miles. Discounts for low-mileage and new models are generally not as significant, and the same trend applies to the Model X.

Tempted buyers looking to pick up the keys to a Tesla would be wise to do so before the year-end, as the federal EV tax credit of $7,500, which currently applies to new Tesla models, will be reduced to $3,750 starting on January 1.

Discounts in Canada are quite similar to those in the U.S. with some Model 3s and Model Ys available for around CA$3,000 less than they were previously.
