The Genesis GV70 is a brilliant SUV but it’s not exactly a vehicle that owners are taking along difficult off-road trails, even though it does have some all-terrain abilities. However, this particular GV70 is a little different.

The GV70 you’re looking at has been brought to life by a partnership between Delta 4×4 and Genesis Europe. It is known as the GV70 Project Overland and has benefited from a host of modifications to make it that much more suited to off-road driving than a typical example. Unfortunately, it remains a one-off concept.

Modifications made to the Genesis start under the skin where a suspension lift has increased the ride height by 50 mm (1.9 inches) at all four corners, giving it much more ground clearance. Additionally, the luxurious SUV sits on a set of aftermarket 18-inch black wheels wrapped in Continental ATR tires to ensure it has grip on even the trickiest of surfaces.

Delta 4×4 has also modified the front fascia of the GV70 and fitted four LED driving lights from Baja Designs on the blacked-out plastic. A set of flared front and rear wheel arches also catch the eye as does the matte black roof rack. This roof rack has allowed for the fitment of two massive LED light bars and also carries a pair of large luggage boxes and a set of bright orange recovery tracks.

Driven: 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70 Is Brilliant But Is It Worth The Premium?

This special Genesis will be showcased at the Continental booth during the Essen Motor Show in Germany running from December 1 through to December 10.

This actually isn’t the first time that we’ve seen this particular GV70. Genesis Europe released photos of the same model in October but at the time used it to promote a retractable rooftop tent from iKamper that was developed for it. This tent can sleep up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children and transforms the GV70 into the ultimate luxury camper.
