The Audi RS Q8 is considered by some as a cheaper and perhaps better-looking alternative to the Lamborghini Urus and while it ordinarily lacks the grunt to rival the Raging Bull, ABT Sportsline has the answer to that with its RS Q8-S package.

This isn’t ABT’s first time modifying the RS Q8 as it released its RS Q8-R model a few years ago. The S isn’t quite as extreme as the R but it still makes the super SUV stand out thanks to the fitment of various new exterior parts. These include a carbon fiber splitter, a carbon front grille surround, striking aerodynamic winglets on the side skirts, a new rooftop lip spoiler, and a bold new diffuser. While these upgrades are quite striking, they are not over-the-top, and even with them, the RS Q8-S looks more subtle than a Urus.

ABT’s Audi RS Q8-S May Be The Perfect Urus Alternative

Various other upgrades have been made. This particular example has been equipped with a set of massive 23-inch wheels with a 10-spoke design finished in gloss black. It’s unclear if these wheels negatively impact the SUV’s ride quality but they certainly wouldn’t help. Fortunately, ABT also offers a set of smaller 22-inch shoes for customers. It has also dropped the ride height of the Audi.

The SUV’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 has also been fettled with. Ordinarily, this engine is good for 591 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque but a new control unit from ABT lifts these figures up to 690 hp and 649 lb-ft (880 Nm). A new exhaust has also been fitted complete with a new rear muffler, middle muffler replacement pipe, and new tips.

Shoppers can also have ABT customize the interior of their RS Q8 with a carbon fiber shift knob, new areas of carbon across the dashboard and seats, entrance lights, and a unique start-stop button.

Do all these upgrades make the RS Q8 a serious rival to the Lamborghini Urus? We’ll let you decide.
