Images and details of Great Wall’s new Tank 330 have surfaced thanks to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
As you may have guessed from its name, the Tank 330 is based on the existing Tank 300 that’s not just sold in China but also in various other countries, including Australia. The vehicle was originally announced in March last year through a crowdfunding project, presumably as a way for Great Wall to see if there was enough demand to bring the vehicle to production. Within six seconds of the campaign opening, 1,000 orders had been placed.
The Tank 330 shares a lot in common with the Tank 300 Frontier Limited Edition, Car News China notes. As such, it is equipped with a new front bumper complete with a black bull bar and is equipped with black fender flares. Unlike the model it is based on, the Tank 300 does not have a snorkel but does rock a unique hood with cooling vents.

Elsewhere, we can see that the latest off-roader from Great Wall has a roof rack, beadlock wheels finished in black and wrapped in mud-terrain tires, and rock sliders. Distinguishing its rear from other Tank 300 models is the roof-mounted spoiler and the new badges.
Slotted beneath the skin of the Tank 330 will be the firm’s 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with a solid 355 hp (265 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to an automatic transmission driving all four wheels and MIIT documents reveal the new model has an approach angle of 36 degrees, a departure angle of 37 degrees, and a wading depth of 900 mm (35.4 inches). It tips the scales at 2,480 kg (5,467 lbs) and is 4,772 mm (187.8 inches) long, 1,970 mm (77.5 inches) wide, and stands 1,960 mm (77.1 inches) tall with a 2,750 mm (108.2-inch) wheelbase.
