Skoda has teased the facelifted Octavia, ahead of its debut next month.

While the company isn’t saying much at this point, the car will have a “modernized” and “refreshed look.” Skoda didn’t delve into specifics, but mentioned a new grille and revised lettering out back. We can also get a glimpse of new headlights and familiar bodywork.

That’s not much to go on, but spy photographers caught the facelifted Octavia Estate last summer. The prototype sported the usual styling tweaks including modified bumpers and updated taillights. The wagon also appeared to be equipped with a larger infotainment system.

Skoda has been tight-lipped about the upcoming model, but has previously hinted at an optimized engine lineup. While nothing is official, powertrain choices could echo those found in the updated Kamiq.

If that’s the case, there could be a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder with 114 hp (85 kW / 116 PS). It’ll likely be joined by a familiar 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS). We can also expect an assortment of 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines.

Full details will be announced soon, but the facelifted Octavia is part of a major product push. Besides updates to existing models, the company will introduce the all-new Elroq later this year as an electric Karoq successor.

It will be followed by an entry-level EV in 2025. The automaker is then set to introduce an electric wagon and seven-seat SUV in 2026.
