If you’re on the hunt for a Mansory-tuned Mercedes-AMG G-Class and crave the ultimate attention-grabber, we’ve got news you. Feast your eyes on the Mansory Gronos 6×6 – a raised six-wheeler pickup conversion born from the second-generation G-Wagen, packing colossal power and off-road prowess that’ll make you do a double-take.

The Gronos 6×6 is essentially an extended version of last year’s Gronos 4×4 model, boasting an additional pair of wheels and a rear bed. Mansory has given this oof-roader its most eye-catching bodykit, complete with carbon fiber extensions on the wide fenders, bumpers, roof, and a bulging hood.

The addition of suicide doors is intended to facilitate easier access to the interior, although it still requires some climbing effort. In terms of dimensions, the Gronos 6×6 stands 250 mm (9.8 inches) taller, wider, and a full 1,375 mm (54.1 inches) longer compared to a standard G63.

Predictably, the interior is fully customizable based on the preferences of each owner. The pictured example is bathed in turquoise leather, with countless Mansory emblems. Highlights include the special roof lining with more than 3,000 LEDs, the quilted leather floor mats, and the unique pattern on the carbon fiber bits.

Upgraded Chassis And Monstrous Power

What differentiates the six-wheeler from other examples from the Gronos series is the significantly increased ground clearance and the extra protective kit making it suitable for extreme off-road use. The upgraded suspension has new shocks, the front axle has been reinforced, and portal gears were added on all three axles alongside extra lockable differentials.

Depending on the desired use, Mansory offers different options for the tires. More specifically, owners can choose between 22-inch wheels shod in Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires (325/55/R22), or 20-inch wheels shod in 37-inch off-road tires with an integrated tire inflation system.

AMG’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 from the donor G63 benefits from a series of upgrades, resulting in a Brabus-matching output of 888 hp (662 kW / 900 PS) and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque. This increase was made possible by a new intercooler, a new turbocharger with increased boost pressure, a set of high-pressure fuel pumps, a sports exhaust, a tune, plus the necessary upgrades to the gearbox.

Mansory has not disclosed the price of the Gronos 6×6, but with only 10 units available and the extensive modifications involved, it’s safe to assume that the price tag will feature quite a few zeros.
