The GMC Acadia is now bigger than ever and unsurprisingly, prices for the SUV have been increased significantly for the 2024 model year. Shoppers may have to splurge up to $6,600 more compared to the outgoing model.

Sitting at the base of the range for 2024 is the Acadia Elevation. This model starts at $42,600, excluding an unspecified destination and delivery fee. Last year’s range kicked off from $36,800, before delivery fees, for the entry-level SLE but that model no longer exists, nor does the SLT that started at $41,100. Instead, the Acadia Elevation replaces both of these models for 2024.

The new Acadia is also offered in AT4 and Denali trims. Whereas the previous-gen 2023 Acadia AT4 started at $43,400, the 2024 version has been priced from $50,000, a significant $6,600 price increase. GMC has also increased the starting price of the Acadia Denali by $5,700 to $54,300, Cars Direct reports.

2024 GMC Acadia Is Up To $6,600 More Expensive Over Its Predecessor

GMC isn’t unjustified in increasing prices across the Acadia range, although it’s probably going to be a bitter pill to swallow for customers. The new Acadia is significantly larger than the model it replaces, offering an additional 10.6 inches (269 mm) in length while also sporting an 8.4-inch (213 mm) longer wheelbase.

Plenty of changes have been made to the interior of the new model too. Sitting in the center of the dashboard is a larger portrait-oriented 15-inch infotainment screen flanked by an 11-inch digital instrument cluster. GMC has also given the new model a revised column shifter and lifted the quality of the materials used.

All 2024 Acadia models also come with a new 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mill, which replaces the old 2.0-liter turbo and delivers 328 hp and 326 lb-ft (442 Nm), significant gains over both the old unit’s 228 hp and 258 lb-ft, as well as the retired 3.6-liter V6’s 310 hp and 271 lb-ft (367 Nm).
