Jeep has quietly cut Grand Cherokee prices by up to $4,000

If you’re in the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee, you’re in luck as the company has quietly slashed prices by $2,000 to $4,000.
The move was announced in a letter to dealers and confirmed by Jeep’s North American boss, Bill Peffer, who told CarsDirect “We know consumers are grappling with the rising costs of inflation. In response, the Jeep brand is taking the opportunity to add content and value to its award-winning lineup, while at the same time rolling back starting U.S. MSRPs on some of our most popular models, like the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee.”
While the publication says pricing begins at $38,035, the company’s configurator shows the 2024 Grand Cherokee starts at $36,495 before a $1,795 destination fee. The Grand Cherokee L, on the other hand, begins at $40,035.

That being said, the entry-level Grand Cherokee Laredo A is rear-wheel drive only and available exclusively in a two-row configuration. You have to step up to the $38,035 Grand Cherokee Laredo to get four-wheel drive and that bumps the price up an additional $2,000.
Regardless, the entry-level model has LED lighting units and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Buyers will also find a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, an automatic climate control system, and an 8.4-inch infotainment system. They’re joined by a six-speaker audio system and cloth seats with eight-way power adjustment on the driver’s side.
Power comes from a 3.6-liter V6 engine developing 293 hp (218 kW / 297 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which can be equipped to an optional four-wheel drive system on most variants.
