If you’re looking for a sporty new spring accessory, look no further as Mercedes has announced the CLE Coupe will arrive at U.S. dealerships shortly.

Pricing starts at $56,500 and that’s a huge jump as the C-Class Coupe began at $49,550. However, the model also replaces the similarly sized E-Class Coupe and that started at $69,750.

So what does nearly sixty large get you? A stylish two-door coupe with soft curves and flowing surfaces. The model also has LED lighting units, a three-dimensional chrome grille, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Buyers looking for something sportier can opt for the AMG Line package, which is standard on the CLE 450 4MATIC. It adds a sportier front bumper and larger 19-inch wheels that are backed up by beefier front discs. The package also has a dual exhaust system with “tailpipe trim elements integrated into the rear bumper.”

An assortment of other options will be available including four Manufaktur paint colors, a Night Package, and an assortment of wheels in sizes up to 20 inches.

Moving into the cabin, drivers will find a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. They’re joined by a 15-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system with integrated music streaming.

Other highlights include a wireless smartphone charger, a panoramic sliding sunroof, and a 64-color ambient lighting system. Eco-friendly MB-Tex upholstery comes standard, although Nappa leather is available as an option.

Speaking of options, the Pinnacle trim starts at $59,100 and adds fancier headlights, augmented reality navigation, and a head-up display. Other highlights include a parking package with a surround view camera as well as Guard 360, which is an advanced anti-theft system which can notify you of events as well as take pictures.

On the safety front, the model comes standard with Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Active Brake Assist, and Blind Spot Assist. The optional Driver Assistance Package adds welcome features such as Distronic Plus with Steering Assist and Stop & Go Assist. The package also includes Active Lane Change Assist and Route-Based Speed Adaptation.

The CLE 300 4MATIC has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 255 hp (190 kW / 259 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. The model also has a mild-hybrid system that can provide a boost of 23 hp (17 kW / 23 PS) and 148 lb-ft (200 Nm).

If that’s not powerful enough, the CLE 450 4MATIC Coupe starts at $65,650 and has a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. It develops 375 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque, before factoring in the mild-hybrid boost.

The CLE 300 4MATIC is outfitted with a comfort suspension, which promises to combine “supreme driving comfort and sporty directness.” However, the aforementioned AMG package includes a stiffer sports suspension for “more direct handling and agility.”
