Mate Rimac is widely regarded as one of the most-forward thinking people in the hypercar industry, standing alongside Christian von Koenigsegg and Horacio Pagani. As the founder of Rimac Automobili and the current CEO of Bugatti Rimac, he recently took delivery of his own Nevera. Rimac shared this special moment with his followers on social media, who congratulated him on his well-deserved purchase.

Rimac proudly declared, “Finally, my daily driver is ready,” unveiling his hypercar’s unique specifications through a series of photos taken on the factory floor. Opting for a dark red exposed carbon fiber exterior, Rimac combined it with unpainted carbon fiber elements. The inclusion of the Croatian flag on the mirrors pays homage to both the hypercar’s origins and the CEO’s homeland. Additionally, the vivid red “Nevera” lettering on the profile ensures that it won’t go unnoticed.

Inside, the CEO selected a blend of black and red Alcantara, complemented by red stitching and accents. While the driver’s seat boasts a black finish, the passenger seat is adorned in red, complete with “M8” and “K8” emblems on the headrests, representing the initials of Mate and his wife, Kate (Katarina).

Another special detail is the figure of a woman embedded on the dashboard. A quick search online revealed that this was designed after the portrait of Solinjanka – a woman from the ancient city of Solin. The beautiful bust is kept at the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb and is believed to depict the young Plautilla, wife of the Roman emperor Caracalla.

Mate’s own Rimac Nevera is not believed to have any performance modifications compared to the rest of the pack. It’s not that an upgrade was needed, as the fully electric hypercar remains the quickest accelerating production car in the world setting multiple records. It is also the fastest around the Nurburgring with a lap time of 7:05:298. The quad electric motors produce a combined 1,888 hp (1,408 kW / 1,914 PS), while the 120 kWh battery pack is good for a driving range of 490 km (300 miles).

The production of the Rimac Nevera is limited to 150 units, with a starting price of around $2.5 million. Interestingly, Mate Rimac didn’t opt for one of the twelve units of the “Time Attack” edition. It is also noteworthy that the CEO didn’t skip the queue, taking delivery of the hypercar almost one and a half years after Nico Rosberg got the first example.
