VW’s latest electric sedan will launch in Q3 this year in two trims and up to 335 hp

Volkswagen will sell just two versions of the all-electric 2025 ID.7 in the United States but pricing details will not be released until close to the car’s launch in Q3.
When VW took off the wraps to the U.S.-spec ID.7 almost 12 months ago, it said it would be sold in Pro and Pro S guises with 82 kWh and 91 kWh battery packs. It has since been revealed that local shoppers will be able to get the ID.7 in Pro S or Pro S Plus forms, but both with the smaller 82 kWh pack only.
VW’s new electric sedan will be available in rear- and all-wheel drive configurations. Models sending power through the rear will offer 282 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque while dual-motor models will produce 335 hp. Official driving range figures won’t be released until closer to the car’s launch.
The ID.7 Pro S and Pro S Plus models will come standard with illuminated front and rear logos, a 15-inch infotainment display, an augmented head-up display, a panoramic glass roof with electrochromic tinting, and 12-way adjustable heated front seats. Color options include Mythos Black, Glacier White, Moonstone Grey, Aquamarine Blue, or Kings Red. The interior can be optioned with black seats in Galaxy guise or grey seats in the Lunar configuration.

Differentiating the Pro S Plus from the standard Pro S model are 20-inch wheels, DCC adaptive damping, and dynamic steering. The interior of the more expensive trim also features massaging seats and a 700-watt Harman Kardon audio system with 14 speakers.
Buyers will also be pleased to know that the ID.7 Pro S and Pro S Plus will land stateside with VW’s IQ.DRIVE advanced driver assistance technology. This includes hands-on semi-automated abilities and automatic lane changes.
