Buy This Exclusive Minted Green 2023 Corvette Z06 NFT And Get A Matching Real-Life Z06 Too

Chevrolet is hopping on the NFT bandwagon by teaming up with xsullo to auction a one-off piece of artwork known as “Own the Color.”

The NFT features a Minted Green 2023 Corvette Z06, but this auction is interesting as it also includes a real-life Minted Green Corvette Z06. The physical car will come equipped with carbon fiber wheels, a commemorative plaque, and the Z07 performance package.

The latter includes a carbon fiber body kit with a larger front splitter, dive planes, a rear wing and underbody strakes, which enable the Corvette to generate 734 lbs (333 kg) of downforce at 186 mph (299 km/h). Other highlights include a Brembo carbon ceramic braking system, specially developed Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires, and a unique FE7 suspension with Magnetic Ride Control 4.0.

Furthermore, the Corvette Z06 will have an exclusive RFN option code that will “forever associate the car with this auction and it’s one-of-one status.” The model’s VIN number will also be inspired by binary code as a “further connection between the car and Web3.”

Of course, the car will also come equipped with a 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 engine that produces an impressive 670 hp (500 kW / 679 PS) and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which enables the model to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 2.6 seconds.

The auction runs from June 20-24 on SuperRare and bids will be accepted exclusively in Ethereum. This is an interesting choice, especially given the recent crypto collapse.

All proceeds will benefit DonorsChoose, which aims to help teachers in need and “move us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education.”

While only one NFT will be created, it sounds like more non-fungible tokens are on the horizon as Chevrolet Marketing Vice President Steve Majoros said “We see ‘Own the Color’ as an important stepping stone for Chevrolet into future digital initiatives for our customers.”
