Off-road focused trucks are big business and Toyota is looking to cash in with a new lift kit for the redesigned Tundra.
Available as a dealer-installed option, the TRD lift kit costs $3,995 and includes taller front coil springs, new Bilstein shocks, and Roush upper control arms. Buyers will also find new lower front knuckles, stabilizer links, front bump stops, and rear spring spacers. They’re joined by extended front drive shafts and longer brake flex hoses – among other things.
Thanks to the modifications, the front is lifted 3 inches (76 mm) while the rear end climbs 2 inches (51 mm). Ground clearance also improves by 2.6 inches (66 mm), while approach and departure angles go from 21 and 24 degrees to 26 and 25 degrees.

Unfortunately for the DIY crowd, the lift kit is “only available for dealer installation.” Toyota also noted the $3,995 price tag doesn’t include installation, so owners can expect to shell out even more.
On the bright side, the lift can be installed on 2022 and newer Tundras with four-wheel drive and either the i-FORCE or i-FORCE Max powertrain. However, it’s not compatible with TRD Pro or TRD Sport variants, nor models with an adaptive variable suspension or air suspension.
The lift kit comes with a warranty and is compatible with the Toyota Safety Sense suite of driver assistance systems. The latter is notable as TRD principal engineer Mikhal el Arculli explained, “There are many compromises with aftermarket lift kits, some of which can impact the function of vehicle features or safety systems.”
