The all-wheel drive crossover can hit 62 mph in 4.6 seconds

The Cadillac Lyriq is one of the best electric crossovers on the market and we’re starting to learn more about the all-wheel drive variant as deliveries will begin in China on December 26th.
While the company previously estimated the model would have 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque, the Chinese variant is slated to develop up to 503 hp (375 kW / 510 PS) and 524 lb-ft (710 Nm) of torque. This will enable the Lyriq to run from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, which is roughly 1.8 seconds faster than the rear-wheel drive variant. Furthermore, the top speed increases from 118 mph (190 km/h) to 130 mph (210 km/h).
In exchange for being faster and more powerful, the all-wheel drive Lyriq gives up some range as it can only travel 608 km (378 miles) in the China Light-Duty Vehicle test cycle. That compares to 653 km (406 miles) for the rear-wheel drive variant, which also uses a 95.7 kWh battery pack.
To accompany the improved performance, the all-wheel drive Lyriq will be offered with a new sport package. Cadillac didn’t say much about it, but the package includes a revised grille that trades angular lines for a geometric pattern with exclusive lighting animations. Buyers will also find special 20-inch wheels.
It remains unclear if specifications will carryover to the U.S. model, but the all-wheel drive Lyriq will start at ¥479,700 in China. On the other side of the Pacific, the 2024 Lyriq AWD will start around $64,000 when it launches in the United States in the spring of 2023.
