The facelifted Mercedes EQA is expected to debut later this year with revised styling inside and out

Spy photographers have snapped the facelifted Mercedes GLA on multiple occasions and now we’re getting another look at the updated EQA.
Caught undergoing testing in Europe, the facelifted EQA is instantly recognizable as it will be getting a minor makeover that focuses on the front and rear ends. The camouflage does a good job of hiding the changes, but we can expect a revised front bumper and possibly an updated grille.
While the headlights appear to carryover, the upcoming production model could sport new lighting units. Speaking of which, the crossover has new taillights that feature revised graphics as well as reverse lights that appear to have been relocated.
Spy photographers didn’t get a look inside, but the model will likely follow in the footsteps of the facelifted A-Class and feature a handful of updates including a streamlined center console that eschews a touchpad controller. We can also expect to find a new steering wheel, updated upholstery, and revised trim.
Other updates will likely include a streamlined equipment list and the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system. Last but not least, the crossover could be equipped with a fingerprint sensor for driver authentication.

Since the EQA was introduced less than two years ago, we shouldn’t expect major powertrain changes. While that remains to be seen, the current model features a 188 hp (140 kW / 190 PS) electric motor and a 66.5 or 70.5 kWh battery pack. Customers can also get all-wheel drive variants with outputs of 225 hp (168 kW / 228 PS) and 288 hp (215 kW / 292 PS).
