The Longo Toyota dealership in El Monte, California is set to auction off the very first 2023 Toyota GR Corolla Morizo and will donate all of the money to the El Monte School District and Vision To Learn.

Toyota built just 200 examples of the GR Corolla Morizo for the U.S. market in 2023 and the example in question is no. #001. The auction will run between October 18-24 and be hosted by Bring a Trailer who will donate the buyer’s fee to charity. The hot hatch will then be delivered cost-free to the winning bidder anywhere in the continental U.S.

The El Monte City School District and El Monte Union High School District serve approximately 15,000 students and the funds allocated will help to create Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math labs and marketspaces at each of the district’s schools. These spaces will allow students to learn through various hands-on activities.

Driven: 2023 Toyota GR Corolla GTS Is A Bundle Of Power, Fun, And Agility

“Longo Toyota has long been a proud supporter of our community and we are thrilled we can put 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this monumental vehicle back into the community to serve our students in El Monte,” president and general manager of Longo Toyota Doug Eroh said. “We can’t wait to share more about the GR Corolla MORIZO Edition with automotive enthusiasts and showcase the power and performance behind this very limited-edition vehicle.”

A handful of unique elements distinguish the Morizo from the standard GR Corolla hot hatch. It is the most track-focused variant and lacks rear seats, gets a forged carbon fiber roof, lacks second-row speakers, and features a retuned suspension, a new wheel and tire package, and rocks 349 additional spot welds across the body. Toyota’s engineers have also extracted an extra 22 lb-ft (30 Nm) from the 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder.
