Today, there’s one less near-perfect Lexus LFA supercar in the world and we’re all worse for it. A rainy day appears to have spelled its doom. That’s a surprise since reports suggest that it happens to be a daily driven by an enthusiast who shares it with the greater Atlanta area.

When new, the Lexus LFA had a price tag of $375,000 but today, some examples trade hands for seven figures. This particular car with silver paint and a red interior features the magnesium BBS wheels from the hallowed LFA Nurburgring Edition. A passing video from the road shows the car on a trailer with its rear bumper cover missing.

Had that been the extent of the damage this LFA might have been repairable in short order. Sadly, a second photo shows more significant damage to the passenger side of the car. The door and side skirt both suffered serious impacts of one form or another. As a result, there’s a hole in the door and a gap in the skirt.

According to multiple sources, this is the same car that is often spotted at various car events in Atlanta, Georgia. In one video, a car that looks identical to this one features a child walking and jumping on the roof of the famously expensive supercar. All accounts indicate that the owner drives the car often. That might explain why it was out and about on a rainy day in Atlanta.

It’s unclear what caused the accident but no doubt slippery pavement might have been a contributing factor. Despite the damage, this car could very well end up repaired and back on the road. No doubt, the owner would prefer to continue sharing the car with the local community. It’ll just come down to how much it costs to fix a car of this stature.
