In the world of hot hatches, few are more iconic than the Lancia Delta HF Integrale and the chief design officer of Stellantis, Ralph Gilles, is parting ways with his beautiful Evolution I.

Gilles purchased this Delta Integrale through Bring a Trailer back in May 2018 and is auctioning it off it through the same website. When he picked up the keys, it had ~96,000 km (60,000 miles) on the clock and now has ~101,000 km (63,000 miles) under its belt. Gilles paid $53,000 for the car and it’ll be interesting to see how much it sells for six years later.

Under the ownership of Gilles, the Italian rally legend’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder has been rebuilt with a new timing belt, gaskets, Colombo & Bariana camshafts, ARP fasteners, an Eprom Fast Road ECU chip, Walkers Garage exhaust manifold, and a high-flow catalytic converter. The original five-speed manual transmission has been retained, as has the Ferguson viscous coupling center differential and Torsen limited-slip rear differential.

Watch: Some Say… He’s Just Bought A Lancia Delta Integrale

Stellantis Design Boss Ralph Gilles Selling His Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo

This may not be the lowest-mileage Delta Integrale we’ve seen, but it appears to have been well-maintained over the years and has a clean Carfax report. It is painted in Rosso Monza and continues to sit on the original 15-inch Speedline alloy wheels. These wheels are wrapped in Kumho Ecsta V720 tires measuring 225/45 but given they were manufactured in 2017, they’d probably be worth replacing soon.

We think the cabin of the hatch has also aged rather gracefully. The gray cloth seats appear to be in good position and the car features a Pioneer single-din head unit. There is also a new boost gauge and an aftermarket turbo timer.

While it would be tempting to park this iconic Lancia in a garage, we have our fingers crossed that the next owner drives it like the rally car it is.
