Toyota has rolled out a host of TRD accessories for the 2024 GR Yaris in Japan, coinciding with the imminent start of local sales of the updated rally-bred hot hatch.
The TRD parts include several accessories that boost downforce and also add to the hot hatch’s looks. They start at the front end with a more pronounced splitter to increase downforce over the front axle. Toyota then pairs these parts with distinctive side skirts and an aggressive new rear diffuser. This diffuser doesn’t just look good but also increases downforce, although Toyota hasn’t said by how much. A new rear lip spoiler has also been developed, as have shrouds on the side windows.
New wheels have also been designed for the GR Yaris. These 18-inch forged aluminum rims have 15 silver and black spokes. Optional red and black stripes running along the side of the car complete the updated exterior.

Various other changes have been made. These include new front and rear stabilizing dampers to improve handling. There are also new GR brake pads both front and rear that are more capable on the track while still performing well on the street.
A handful of carbon fiber accents can also be added to the interior, including the dashboard, air vents, and door handles. TRD has also released a carbon fiber license plate frame.
Toyota will start sales of the 2024 GR Yaris in Japan on April 8. The new model was announced at the start of this year and includes a revised 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder with an extra 32 hp (24 kW), resulting in a combined 300 hp (224 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque. Local prices for the six-speed manual car start at 4.48 million yen (~$29,500) and top out at 4.98 million (~$32,800) while the eight-speed auto has been priced from 4.83 million (~$31,900) and can reach as high as 5.33 million (~$35,200).
The brand has also started accepting applications for the limited-run Sebastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanpera variants.
