In contrast to its predecessors, the fifth generation of the Toyota Prius has earned praise for its stylish design and notable performance enhancements. These improvements have sparked anticipation for a potential high-performance variant from the Gazoo Racing division. Recent rumors from Japan hint at the arrival of a GRMN-branded Prius, which is expected to boast an upgraded plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain, as well as a range of aerodynamic and chassis enhancements.
This is not the first time we hear about a spiced-up Prius, but Japanese publication Best Car has brought the rumors back to the forefront with a fresh report.
